 Welcome to RechaSmiths. Recha Smiths is a family operation. John Gustafson is the main smithy. John's family line hails from Sweden and Germany. Some of John's ancestors were also metal smiths one of whom made the cart that carried the remains of Abraham Lincoln and JFK to their final resting places. John himself has been in the iron artistry business for over 28 years. Having started out in the farrier business, he moved into the ornate iron world and has pieces of artwork decorating estates across the US as well as pieces of art in parks to museums. That said, when you purchase a Recha blade or any piece of art, you're purchasing collectible art that hails from a long line of tradition and talent.
